Oil Painting of an Orange

Oil painting of an orange and peel by Steve Driver

Orange Peeled

I have just completed this oil painting of an orange.

I have tried a different sort of composition by having 4 objects evenly spaced apart.

However to my mind it doesn’t quite work and would have looked better with 3 objects to give a more traditional triangle composition. Or may have looked better with some of the pieces overlapping.

I am pleased with the way the light flows across the orange sections though, making look like light is passing through the inner segments.

I dont think I will be putting this on the main website but if anyone is interested in purchasing it let me know and I’ll give you a good deal on it.

It is oil on canvas board 14 x 11 inches.
