Nectarines in bowl
This one was done on a heavily textured surface using an acrylic primer thickly applied over the canvas.
These nectarines are fantastic to paint, so many colours merging into each other, although I tried not to blend them on the canvas leaving one colour touching upon the next so as to make them stand out.
You wouldn’t think I used to over-blend everything not long ago (see my earlier works) but often too much blending can lead to a loss of impact and interest.
I was going to offer this one up for sale but my wife Louise has beaten everyone to it. She thinks its one of my better ones and has acquired it for herself!
Its 16 x 12 box canvas.
