Midnight Ocean

Yes, I know it’s been a long time since I did a seascape!

I still love doing them but it takes a lot of work to do a successful one.

This one turned out alright but I’m definitely out of practise.

Its on 20 x 16 inch canvas board and is quite loosely painted to try and capture the motion of the sea.

The hard part is knowing when to stop and not get involved with too much detail.

The blues I used for this are Cerulean and Phthalo with a bit of turquoise thrown in.
