Fruit Cocktail

Another still life with fruit.

Oil on canvas board 30 x 24 cms.

I started this one with the idea of holding back on the detail and concentrating on colour.

I think it worked quite well, its very bright and lively.

Compositionally it doesn’t follow traditional rules and it’s a bit “all over the place” but I think it adds to the message of the painting.

Palette for this was: Titanium white, Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue, Lemon yellow, Cadmium yellow, Bright Red, Alizarin Crimson, Light Green, and Yellow Ochre
